What does it take to build something successful?
The Class of 2027 welcomed Casey J. Hlubek - Northwestern Mutual for a great conversation about entrepreneurship, leadership, and the relationships that help shape our personal and professional lives.
Casey shared his story, what led him to Northwestern Mutual and ultimately to Quincy, along with his “10 Lessons,” which challenged the class to define what success means to them and have the courage to pursue it.
He also talked about the importance of reputation, one of the greatest assets we have, and the ability to talk to people, have meaningful conversations, and build relationships because relationships compound over time. Casey challenged the class to focus on becoming valuable, not just being busy, and to recognize the difference between simply filling our time and doing work that creates real value for others.
He also demonstrated the importance of going all in, in pretty dramatic fashion! You’ll have to ask the class about that one.
These are just a few highlights from a class session filled with wisdom and perspective from someone who has done what our students hope to do one day, build something successful.
Thank you, Casey, for sharing your experience and investing in the Class of 2027!
