An idea is one thing. Standing in front of a board of directors and asking for approval to turn it into a real business is something entirely different.
Today, the Class of 2027 got a look behind the scenes at what it takes to operate Adams County CEO. Our Adams County CEO Board of Directors conducted their monthly board meeting during class, giving students an up-close view of the leadership, decision-making, planning, and oversight that happens behind the scenes to make this program possible.
The timing couldn’t have been better. After two days of compression and strategic planning, and a day of coming up with the proposal, the class had the opportunity to pitch their Class Business idea directly to the board. They presented their concept, answered questions, and received unanimous approval to move forward.
Now the real work begins. An idea that started with a room full of possibilities has become their business to build, market, finance, and execute together.
We aren’t giving away the details just yet. Stay tuned for the official announcement because you are not going to want to miss what the Class of 2027 has planned!
