Friday, the Class of 2027 got an inside look at The Range at KC with Nick Hiland!
Nick started by sharing how The Range came to be and the partnership with the Knights of Columbus that made the business possible. From there, he talked about their commitment to utilizing local contractors and the power of relationships in taking an idea and turning it into something real.
The Range is also about much more than golf. Nick talked about creating an environment where families can come together, have fun, and enjoy the experience whether they are golfers or not. He also gave the class a look at some of the new developments you may have seen in the news, along with a few fun plans for the future expansion of the business.
One of the biggest takeaways came down to a simple statement from Nick: “No’s are free.” If you don’t ask for what you want, the answer will always be no. For a group of young entrepreneurs preparing to build their own businesses, that is a lesson worth remembering.
