We started the year BIG with our first speaker, Denise Tallcott from Denise Tallcott Leadership among other things.
Denise brought a ton of fun and energy into the room while challenging the class with lessons that go far beyond entrepreneurship.
Do things scared. Be willing to dream and change. Understand the power of relationships and who you know. Ask for what you want, but do it with humility. Sometimes rejection is protection. Maybe one of the biggest lessons, it’s not always about you.
She also spent time talking about what it means to serve. Keep others at the forefront. Invest in relationships. Remember that business is often about serving and educating others. Think about who you are and what you do when no one is watching.
There was a lot packed into our first speaker visit, along with plenty of laughs and interaction with the class. It was a great way to begin what will be a year full of conversations with entrepreneurs, business owners, leaders, and professionals throughout Adams County.
Thank you, Denise, for kicking off our year and investing in the Class of 2027!
