Today was all about laying the foundation for what’s ahead for the Adams County CEO Class of 2027.

The class took professional headshots, which will play an important role in our first business venture beginning Monday, along with our official class photo. We also worked on writing professional biographies that will be featured on our website and in the 2027 Annual Report.

And, because being a professional isn’t just about how you present yourself, we tackled something almost everyone eventually has to learn: email. We compared who had the most unread emails in their inboxes, and then talked about how to move from chaos to organization, strategy, and actually using email as a tool instead of letting it control you. Sometimes you just have to unsubscribe.

These first few days may seem simple, but they set the stage for everything that comes next. CEO is about entrepreneurship, but it’s also about learning how to communicate, present yourself, build relationships, stay organized, and operate like a professional.

One more class day this week, then we get to hear our first speaker and get active on our first business tour.

The journey is just getting started, and there is a lot more to come.
