Today the class toured Quincy Community Theatre with Burgundy Hill and got an inside look at what it takes to bring a production to life.
The class learned just how complex the process of putting on a show truly is. From strategy and staffing to scheduling and logistics, many productions are planned a year or more in advance to make sure every detail comes together on stage.
We also saw how much work goes into designing and creating costumes and sets, all of which play a huge role in turning a script into a full experience for the audience.
The class also discussed budgeting and how the theatre generates income while continuing to provide such an incredible opportunity for the arts in our community.
It was a great reminder that behind every performance is a tremendous amount of planning, creativity, and teamwork.
