Today the class toured Michelmann Steel, a company that has been doing business in Quincy and the surrounding area since 1865.

Students learned about the steel supply chain and how many local construction projects rely on Michelmann as a trusted partner. It was eye opening to see how deeply connected they are to the growth and development of our region.

We also heard how their focus on community, strong customer service, and staying current with emerging technologies has allowed them to remain not only relevant but profitable for generations.

Thank you to Gates, Laura, and Connor for hosting us and sharing your time and insight with the class.

It was a powerful example of how longevity in business comes from adaptability, relationships, and a commitment to doing things well over time.
