Yesterday the class visited Makayla and Joann at the Good News of Christmas Headquarters and learned about the mission behind the program and the meaningful impact it has on families across our area.
Students spent time wrapping presents and helping clean the space, getting a hands-on look at the work that happens behind the scenes. The experience was made even more powerful as the class heard directly from a former recipient of the program, who shared how the Good News of Christmas made a difference for their family.
The impact didn’t stop with class. A few of our students even returned later last night to help wrap even more gifts, choosing to give additional time to serve others.
It was a great reminder that leadership, service, and community impact often go hand in hand.
