Today the class took a step back in time with Bret Austin, who led a tunnel tour of one of Quincy’s earliest and most influential industries, Dick Brothers Brewery.

Students explored the underground tunnels and learned how Dick Brothers became a cornerstone of Quincy’s economy through innovation, craftsmanship, and an unwavering entrepreneurial spirit. Bret shared how the brewery adapted to major challenges, including Prohibition, by shifting operations to bottling water to keep the business alive.

The story of Dick Brothers Brewery is a powerful reminder that success in business often comes down to creativity, resilience, and the willingness to evolve when circumstances change.

If you want to see the historic tunnels for yourself, you’ll have to book a tour, it’s an experience you won’t forget.
